As part of the Action Plan for Seniors, the Seniors Community Grant Program provides funding to not-for-profit community projects across the province that foster volunteerism, social inclusion and community engagement for seniors.
This program is part of the government's four-part plan to build Ontario up. The plan includes investing in people's talents and skills, making the largest investment in public infrastructure in Ontario’s history, creating a dynamic, supportive environment where business thrives, and building a secure savings plan.
Seniors have contributed greatly to Don Valley East and it’s important that their contributions are celebrated. I am pleased to support initiatives that helps seniors continue to participate in the community they helped build.
A special thank you to Tony Wagner of the O'Connor House for suggesting we use the space to host the reception and meet and greet.
